Free F.A.S.T. financial advice for members of Waterford CU
F.A.S.T. stands for Financial Advice Service Team. It is a new, free, confidential service for Waterford CU members and is designed to offer professional, independent advice on personal finance issues. It operates separately to the credit control and lending departments, so there is no conflict of interest.
Members who are experiencing financial difficulties can contact the F.A.S.T. team and will be supported and educated about the core principles of budgeting. Even members who are not experiencing difficulties are invited to contact the F.A.S.T. team if they would like some professional advice on managing their money better.
Many people are still experiencing financial pressures
The reason for introducing the F.A.S.T. service is that many members are still finding it difficult to make ends meet, due to unemployment, illness, unexpected expenses and relationship breakdowns.
We support our members through good times and bad
The new F.A.S.T. service is very much in keeping with the ethos of Waterford Credit Union which is about assisting our members, through good times and bad, and where members are facing financial difficulties, to respect their independence.
Who can avail of F.A.S.T.?
- Any member of Waterford Credit Union who asks for help regarding money budgeting
- Members can also be referred by a credit control or loans officer (with the member’s permission of course)
What does it consist of?
Over three half-hour meetings, we will help you to:
