Each year Waterford Credit Union is required to issue a copy of our AGM notice & Annual Report to all members.
With over 38,000 members, this often results in several copies being delivered to the one household. In a bid to reduce our carbon footprint and work towards a more sustainable community, we would like to encourage members to opt in to receive their AGM notice and booklet by email instead of post.
If you would like to receive your AGM notice and booklet by post you do not need to take any action.
If you are happy to receive your AGM notice and booklet by email please complete the form below, email comms@waterfordcu.ie or you can opt-in to AGM communication by email in-branch. Opt-in by December 20th 2023 to be in with a chance to win a €250 One4All Voucher!

AGM 2022 details
Waterford Credit Union’s Annual General Meeting 2022 took place on Thursday 4th of May 2023 at 7pm in the Tower Hotel Waterford.
AGM communication by email
This new method will:
- Provide added privacy to each individual member as the booklet will be emailed to their personal email address.
- Prevent the number of booklets being printed and numerous booklets being posted to the same household.
- Prevent booklets being posted to homes where members may no longer be living.
Overall, this will help us to reduce waste and work towards sustainability as a community.
Zoom
To deliver the AGM remotely, Waterford Credit Union will use ‘Zoom’. Members that register to attend will need an internet connection to access the meeting on your PC, laptop or mobile phone.
Each registered member will be sent a registration link. Once registered you will receive an email with a unique
link to the AGM, do not share this with others as we must be able to identify you to establish a quorum. Every individual should register for their own link.
All requests for attendance will be verified by WCU prior to issuing invitations to join the meeting. Following this, members will receive an email with a link to join the meeting a few days before the meeting takes place.
AGM
All non-presenting participants will be muted and have their cameras switched off to allow for the smooth running of the meeting. However, you can type a question to the host by clicking the Q&A button on the screen. Questions should be submitted in advance to agm@waterfordcu.ie by close of business on Monday February 21st 2022.
If you would like to raise a question at the AGM, your questions may require supporting documentation and/or further research by way of a reply, so we ask that you email agm@waterfordcu.ie with any questions by Close of Business on Wednesday 23rd February 2022.
Voting will be conducted by way of Online Poll and members will be asked to vote electronically for the resolution or for each candidate when instructed. Votes will be tallied electronically, verified and recorded.
