Pictured at the Presentation of support for The Little Sisters of the Poor Charity Golf Classic this month are Linda O’Kane, Waterford Credit Union, Sr. Veronica, Pat Murphy St. Dominic Credit Union and Sr. Martin. The Little Sisters of the Poor – initially at Manor Hill since 1868 before moving to Ferrybank in 2010 – provide care for 48 residents in the Nursing Home and also have 22 independent living apartments. The aim of the congregation is to provide spiritual, physical and psychological care in a family atmosphere with dignity, respect and attention to those in their care.

Sr. Veronica in thanking the Credit Unions of St. Dominic and Waterford Credit Union said, “while Residents receive the Fair Deal subsidy, the deficit to provide the many extras that make the life of the elderly more enjoyable are becoming more and more difficult to provide with ever increasing costs.”
